They have a super clean facility and have been very helpful during the first weeks. They offered additional help trainings our pup. I’m not a trainer but I really wanted a good dog for my family that includes small children and it’s been really helpful to have guidance from professional.

Max was pretty much house trained when we picked him up and they already have him imprint trained so you can start from a great foundation.

I am a first time owner of a GSD puppy. However, what we needed was an exceptional puppy – house and crate trained – due to a challenging work schedule even when working from home. Red Rock K9 raises exceptional puppies. More than that, they will prep you to be a better than average GSD owner if you let them. First off, they are selective with the dogs, so they start out with superb genes. Second, Sam puts tremendous amount of effort and love to get his puppies ready for their new families. The foundation training is beyond house and crate (although that alone is priceless, if you don’t have the time). It’s like a prep school to condition puppies for that life long relationship we want in the first place. Third, they don’t just let you sink or swim. Sam will tell you exactly what you need before you bring the puppy home (don’t waste money rushing to buy things on your own like me). And, will equip you with his training guide based on his experience with this specific breed, not some generic advice. And, support you with classes and just in time advice. The Strong Foundation We Were Looking For

With structured early training, expert support, and real-world guidance beyond pickup day, our Red Rock K9 puppy arrived prepared for success from the very beginning.

Sam and the Red Rock K9 team have been a breath of fresh air – dedicated, insightful, patient and professional. After having a couple of GSDs and seeing the potential of the breed, we wanted to find a breeder/trainer who would not only be very intentional in setting their puppies up for success, but also PARTNER with us AFTER we brought our puppy home. While we loved the rescued GSDs we had had before, we were all too familiar with the effects of poor genetics and inadequate early socialization and training. Thus, it was important to us that we be equipped to mold our puppy’s confidence and social behaviors well. Furthermore, we wanted to find someone who could provide breed specific insights, recognizing that raising and training a working-line GSD can, at times, call for strategies that are different from what might be used with a Golden Retriever or a Yorkie.

The Red Rock K9 Puppy Program was exactly the strong foundation that we needed. In addition to understanding a range of basic commands, our pup was crate trained, practically house-broken and sleeping through the night most nights as soon as we got her (issues only happened when WE screwed up!). When we had problems introducing our pup to our older dog the day we brought her home, Sam was able to offer multiple tactics (not just one way!) to work through the situation.

Sam’s assistance didn’t stop there. Despite not being able to coach in-person due to distance, Sam facilitated a remote, interactive and content-rich learning program that has educated and equipped us to continue building on the suite of behaviors taught to the puppies while they were in Sam’s care. When we struggle, he has been a phone call away (we try not to abuse the privilege). He is a wealth of information that has helped us navigate the not-always-intuitive world of dog psychology. Because of his guidance, I am confident that our pup will be able to be a part of our lives in a way that our previous dogs could not be.

Calm, Confident, and Family Ready

From day one, Remi showed the confidence, stability, and socialization that impressed even their veterinarian — reinforcing the care and preparation behind every Red Rock K9 puppy.

We have only had Remi a week, but I can tell you how completely pleased our family is with our decision to get her from Sam and Red Rock K9. to make sure you get your puppy in the best physical and socialized state possible. Sam has a tremendous system in place to support the new owners starting with his 53 page manual and being accessible by email or text to answer any questions or concerns that may come up. All throughout the process you can tell that Sam and family truly care and are passionate about breeding and preparing the dog and their future owners for success. Perhaps one of the best complements Sam and Red Rock K9 received about Remi came from our vet on her puppy wellness exam. Our vet said “ Ive seen a lot of German Shepherd puppies over the years and so many are skittish and nervous at this stage, but Remi is very calm, confident and so well behaved”. I know we have a long road ahead of us with training, but we are confident that with Red Rock K9’s resources and continued support, Remi will grow to be an incredible addition to our family.

The Right Dog at the Right Time

After a long military career and years of waiting, Kobe entered their lives with the structure, training, and support that made the transition effortless.

We Finally welcomed our new German Shepherd (Kobe) into our lives after a long military career. We waited for the right time to get our first dog because we didn’t want to risk taking him from base to base around the world. We sought out Red Rock K-9 after hearing glowing reviews about them and boy were we overly impressed. This company is second to none and they produce the most amazing dogs. We were completely blown away with the love and care they provide to all their dogs throughout the process and even more impressed with the attention to detail and communication they provided us during the process. You can imagine how excited we were to get our GSD and we were so thankful that RRK9 always provided update photos and videos to us! They kept up communication throughout the process (and still do) and they provided invaluable education on the do’s/don’ts and a bunch of recommendations to boot. They gave us options of different things to purchase (we bought it all) and things to stay away from. Overall we are VERY happy with the addition of Kobe to our family. Calm, intelligent, and admired everywhere he goes

Sam is one of the  human beings I would ever want to deal with when selecting a German Shepherd pup! He was honest and forthcoming with me throughout my entire experience and always available for questions. Everything We Hoped For

Our RRK9 puppy (Kodi) is a truly phenomenal dog, and I can’t recommend Sam and Linsey, enough! We have owned some pretty awesome dogs, but Kodi is literally a member of our family. Exceeded Expectations 

Professional every step of the way

I cannot express how much Red Rock K9 exceeded our expectations. My boyfriend and I thought about getting a dog for well over six months, and Red Rock K9 was the second breeder we called to learn more about the services, training and expectations. However, after the call with Sam, we compared every other call to Red Rock. The other breeders were not as professional, accessible nor knowledgable about their training and services. Leading up to receiving our puppy, Sam gracious answered all of our daunting questions in a timely and professional manner. After Cazador came to live with us, Sam continued to provide training tips, support, and constant communication. A Solid Solid Foundation from Day One

Smooth transition. Exceptional puppy.

I wanted to write to share with anyone considering Red Rock K9 for a puppy. My first words are, “don’t hesitate to do so.” Sam was awesome to work with and he was very helpful prior, during and after we picked up our puppy. Of course, it takes time to select your puppy and understand it’s a commitment. My wife and I did our research and knew we were ready for a new addition to our family. The biggest question I receive from friends is, “couldn’t you find a puppy nearer to your home?” I guess we could have but the flight to OKC and the drive back with our puppy was 1,100 miles back to Ohio was well worth it. Our new pup couldn’t have been better, he was calm and confident even at 12 weeks old for the ride. He quickly settled into his new home easily and his beginning training from the Red Rock team was a solid base for continued mastering of skills. He’s a fast learner and does not leave our side until bedtime. As said earlier, if you’re considering a new family member and considering Red Rock K9, “don’t hesitate to do so.”
