I get complements all the time!

We brought Luka home in September. He’s our 2nd RRK9 (first one was in 2013) and that should tell you all you need to know about the quality of these dogs and their foundation. Sam has done an excellent job with the first 3 months of life, training, and laying the groundwork as well as staying in touch and being involved in Luka’s continued training and development, even now, 9 months later. Sam has taken the time to respond to text messages, phone calls, and provide insight, training help, and much needed advice any time I have reached out.

Sometimes its easy to take for granted just how solid these dogs are until you witness first hand the stark difference between one of these dogs and another…Luka has been calm, well-behaved, and had no problem in large crowds, seeing new people, new dogs, strange environments, being caught off guard and startled and recovered in seconds. I can’t tell you how many comments and compliments I have gotten on him and the absolute shock on their faces when I tell them how old he is (almost 10 months at this writing). Being a puppy is no excuse for an untrained, ill-behaved dog.

I fully believe that having a dog with such solid breeding, foundation from the beginning, and training allows them to live their best life. Luka gets to come along and join us on all kinds of adventures because he is trained, confident, and stable. Otherwise he’d be sequestered at home watching silent hiking on YouTube instead of coming along on his own adventure.

Thank you Sam for the gift of such an amazing, sweet, angel puppy….I love him around the moon and back.

High Expectations Exceeded

We hope to get another Red Rock K9 in the future

There are so many great things to say, it is difficult to know where to start. We looked several places for a GSD, all the rest just bred dogs. Sam does something far far different. He doesn’t just breed dogs he creates something far greater than just a pup handed over to you at 8 weeks. Our relationship with Sam has been great. He is easy to talk to, ask questions, and reach. Never have my questions gone unanswered and never have I felt alone through this whole puppy stage. Storm our pup has been the best experience ever. She was chosen for our family. We waited 9 months for her. Our expectations were very high by the time we got to pick her up. Sam still managed to exceed them. We attended the class the night before and puppy pickup. We learned so much but mostly how passionate Sam is about these puppies. For our family that was the best thing to witness. I could tell you about how smart Storm is because she is. I could tell you how she came to us already trained and that she has only had a handful of accidents in our house (awesome). I could tell you how after two days Storm handled meeting our 18 month old daughter and 3 boys better than any dog I have ever met in my life. I could tell you how easy it is to introduce something new to her and how quickly she picks it up. But she is a Red Rock K9 and that means something different. Mostly because there are lots of places that can hand you a GSD puppy. But what Sam has done, what Sam has created, is far more extraordinary. The difference at Red Rock K9 is Sam, and you can’t get him anywhere else. The dogs of course are superior but Sam cannot be duplicated and neither can his pups. We hope to in the future to get another pup and she will be a RRK9. Make the best decision and get your pup from him. You won’t regret it. We haven’t a single minute.

Best Decision Ever

The long drive was worth it. 

I had lost my K9 partner after 11 amazing years together. It was obvious that I needed another German Shepherd in my life. I contacted the owner of Red Rock K9, Sam, and explained my situation to him. I was still dealing with my loss and Sam was very understanding. Within a few days, Sam sent me pictures and videos of an adult male that he had available for import from the Czech Republic. He felt that “Buddy” was everything I was looking for. I trusted Sam’s instincts and moved forward with the purchase. “Buddy” arrived in Oklahoma and I made the 21 hour drive to pick him up. When I arrived, Sam took all the time that was needed to meet and get comfortable with my new GSD. The long ride home gave us plenty of time to bond and spend quality time together. “Buddy ” has been with us for a week now and we couldn’t be happier. Sam continues to check in with me and that shows how passionate he is about his dogs. I highly recommend Red Rock K9 and I’m happy to call Sam a friend!

From Being a Previous Breeder, I Was Blown Away by the Difference

After years of breeding and showing German Shepherds, Red Rock K9 exceeded every expectation.

My background with German Shepherds is breeding and showing them in the AKC conformation ring. I love my show dogs and have to add that not all dogs shown in conformation are over angulated or spooky. Several of mine were sold for SAR work and several made good watch dogs. However, now that I am retired, I want to camp, hike and explore. I wanted not only a companion, but a serious personal protection dog. Enter Red Rock K-9! Sam sells puppies already trained in basic obedience which come from proven working lines or you can purchase adult trained protection dogs. The bonus for me is that Sam is a very skilled dog trainer and offers lessons on obedience and protection. Dargo, my puppy, is not only amazingly intelligent, he is showing me daily how bold he is in temperament accompanying me on my farm chores. I am very much looking forward to taking him with me on my explorations! Dargo is my buddy.

This Is Our Fourth Red Rock K9

After years of experience with German Shepherds and other breeders, the honesty, preparation, temperament, and ongoing success of Red Rock K9 dogs keep bringing us back.

This is my 4th Red Rock K9 so that alone should indicate how I feel about this breeder. They are honest, trustworthy and reliable and I would not purchase a German Shepherd from any other breeder. I’ve had my share of bad experiences with other breeders. You simply cannot put a high enough value on the hours they put into their puppies. Teaching basic manners, basic obedience, crate training, potty training, socialization especially with children which is so important. All of their puppies have great temperments and are wonderful working dogs. I have an 11 month old that is competing in agility and already has her first two titles and a 3 month old that will follow in her footsteps. They Don’t Just Send You Home With a Puppy

Exceptional genetics, early foundation training, and real-world owner guidance made the entire Red Rock K9 experience professional, supportive, and invaluable for first-time GSD owners.

I am a first time owner of a GSD puppy. However, what we needed was an exceptional puppy – house and crate trained – due to a challenging work schedule even when working from home. Red Rock K9 raises exceptional puppies. More than that, they will prep you to be a better than average GSD owner if you let them. First off, they are selective with the dogs, so they start out with superb genes. Second, Sam puts tremendous amount of effort and love to get his puppies ready for their new families. The foundation training is beyond house and crate (although that alone is priceless, if you don’t have the time). It’s like a prep school to condition puppies for that life long relationship we want in the first place. Third, they don’t just let you sink or swim. Sam will tell you exactly what you need before you bring the puppy home (don’t waste money rushing to buy things on your own like me). And, will equip you with his training guide based on his experience with this specific breed, not some generic advice. And, support you with classes and just in time advice.
