Q: Are the puppies vaccinated and / or dewormed before going to their new homes?
A: Yes. Generally we give the first 2 sets of vaccinations. The puppies will be de-wormed before going to your home.
Q: How far in advance do you need a deposit to hold a puppy?
A: Most of our puppies are sold before birth. The 10% deposit holds your reservation in the order it was received.
Q: Do you offer a puppy starter kit?
A: Yes, we buy new crates each litter and you have the option to purchase your pups crate. We also offer a puppy starter available for purchase generally including including collar, leash, several toys, shampoo, nail trimmer, brush, food & water bowls. We are constantly updating our product list and gaining feedback on the best products for our puppies.
Q: When do we get to come meet and pick our reserved puppy?
A: We schedule a puppy visit with clients around 7- 8 weeks from the litters birth date. This is the time period where reservation holders will meet and pick their puppy.
Q: Once the puppies are born can we come visit the puppies?
A: We do not do visits to the puppy whelping box. Many weeks before a mother gives birth we begin acclimating her to the whelping room. We make this room quite and free from other dogs and visitors. Our goal is to make this area safe and secure so that when her puppies are born she feels safe to leave the box and step outside without worry of anyone bothering her puppies. This works towards the goal of keeping the mother happy and stress free during the whelping process. It is a lot of work raising those puppies! We like to keep mother very happy 🙂
Q: How old will our puppy be when he / she gets to come home?
A: Puppies have usually graduated from our imprint training program by 10-11 weeks of age.
Q: Do we get to name the puppy?
A: Yes. We ask that you have a name picked by the time the puppy is about 8 weeks old. In the event a puppy is not reserved for a home we will assign a kennel name for that puppy.
Q: How does the reservation process work?
A: We typically take 3 reservations for males and 3 reservations for females before the pups are born. Depending on your answers in the puppy questionnaire / application we are able to determine your flexibility in gender and color. If you have marked “definitely” to a gender or color and that puppy is not available, we will gladly hold your reservation for the next available litter.
We require a 10% deposit in order to secure your reservation place.
