We brought Luka home in September. He’s our 2nd RRK9 (first one was in 2013) and that should tell you all you need to know about the quality of these dogs and their foundation. Sam has done an excellent job with the first 3 months of life, training, and laying the groundwork as well as staying in touch and being involved in Luka’s continued training and development, even now, 9 months later. Sam has taken the time to respond to text messages, phone calls, and provide insight, training help, and much needed advice any time I have reached out.

Sometimes its easy to take for granted just how solid these dogs are until you witness first hand the stark difference between one of these dogs and another…Luka has been calm, well-behaved, and had no problem in large crowds, seeing new people, new dogs, strange environments, being caught off guard and startled and recovered in seconds. I can’t tell you how many comments and compliments I have gotten on him and the absolute shock on their faces when I tell them how old he is (almost 10 months at this writing). Being a puppy is no excuse for an untrained, ill-behaved dog.

I fully believe that having a dog with such solid breeding, foundation from the beginning, and training allows them to live their best life. Luka gets to come along and join us on all kinds of adventures because he is trained, confident, and stable. Otherwise he’d be sequestered at home watching silent hiking on YouTube instead of coming along on his own adventure.
